Lilac flatworm and orange sponge (Planaria lila y esponja naranja plana)

The colors here are vivid and loud.  Where on land can one see such colors.  This lilac flatworm was crossing the flat orange sponge looking for a food source.  Its "head" is to the left, where its rhinophores are.  The Costa Brava has several species of flatworms, we´ve photographed at least 6 different ones, though recently they´ve been a bit scarce.  Still, it´s always a pleasure to see these beautiful creatures moving along the bottom, or on rocky surfaces, searching for food, a mate or a place to rest.
