This last dive at Les Tres Frares, a dive site of Cap de Creus (Costa Brava, Spain), was a dive unlike any other I´ve done. There were Yungia aurantiaca flatworms everywhere! More than 20, at least. Here are three wonderful ones in different postures. The depths ranged from around 65 feet to 80 feet or so, and the temperature was around 57ºF-58ºF. The dorsal area clearly shows its "column" as it moves, while its white-bordered body gives it wonderful contrast. Its head area is clearly seen in the third photograph (the left part of its body), while in the second photo the head area is also the left-hand part of it. A wonderful day to see this colorful animal.
La última inmersión en Les Tres Frares, un sitio de buceo de Cap de Creus (Costa Brava, España), fue una inmersión diferente a cualquier otra que he hecho. ¡Había planarias Yungia aurantiaca por todas partes! Más de 20, y dejé de contarlos. Aquí hay 3 bellas ejemplares en diferentes actitudes. La profundidad varía de unos 20 metros a unos 25 metros, más o menos, y la temperatura estaba en unos 14ºC. El área dorsal muestra claramente su "columna" mientras se mueve, mientras su cuerpo bordado en blanco le da un bello contraste. Su cabeza se ve bien en la tercera foto (la parte izquierda de su cuerpo), mientras en la segunda foto la cabeza también está en la parte izquierda de su cuerpo. Un buen día para ver a este animal de tanto color.
