Nudibranquio Chromodoris krohni (Chromodoris krohni nudibranch)
I was very fortunate this past weekend to find three similar, but different, species of nudibranchs in one of my favorite dive-sites for nudibranchs. This Chromodoris krohni was crawling along on a cushion-like sponge and I took advantage of the opportunity. It usually does not exceed 1.3" in length, with its color clearly distinguishing it from others with similar body shapes. The depth was approximately 40 feet, and the temp was 61ºF. Notice its rhinophores with their spiral form. Its branchia are located in the rear part of its body. A very nice animal.
