Nudibranquio Hypselodoris tricolor Hypselodoris tricolor nudibranch

One of the Hypselodoris, or Felimare, nudibranch species.  This is the Hyp. tricolor.  Its rhinophores and branchia are very clearly visible, as is its tail and its markings.  It was moving on a type of invasive alga that comes in the spring and recedes in the autumn.  Hopefully, all of the native fauna will learn to adapt.  It measured about 2 cm.  This was in early-May.  Depth was 45 feet and the temp was 55ºF.

Una de las especies Hypselodoris, o Felimare.  Esta especie es la Hyp. tricolor.  Sus rinóforos y branquios se ven muy claramente, como también su cola y colorido.  Se movía encima de una especie de alga invasiva que llega en la primavera y se va en el otoño.  Con suerte, la fauna nativa aprenderá a adaptarse.  Medía unos 2 cm.  A principios de mayo.  La profundidad era de 14 metros y la temperatura de unos 13ºC.
