Spirographis spallanzani (Tubeworms)

Here are 3 photos of tubeworms, two are white and the third is a "tiger" tubeworm.  They were roughly 6"-8" across.  Each of their "arms" has hundreds of tinier filaments which catch and filter their food.  The body of the worm is inside the tube, which it constructs.  An amazing animal...and so beautiful to contemplate, especially when there´s a slight current and you can watch it sway back and forth.

Aquí hay 3 fotos de espirógrafos, dos de ellos blancos y el tercero un "tigre".  Medían, más o menos, 14-20 cm.  Cada uno de sus "brazos" tiene centenares de pequeños filamentos que atrapan y filtran su comida.  El cuerpo del gusano está dentro del tubo, el cual construye.  Un animal increíble...y tan bonito a contemplar, sobre todo cuando hay una ligera corriente y puedes verlo moverse de un lado a otro lentamente.
