Nudibranquio Dondice banyulensis

Here is the brilliantly colored nudibranch Dondice banyulensis, 2 specimens moving around in our favorite nudibranch dive-site.  We believe they lay their eggs on the posedonia seagrass, either that or they love to "go out on a limb" from time to time. The ones we normally see are around 1.5"-2" in length.  If you zoom in, especially on the head-on photo, you can appreciate its incredible beauty.  Not too deep, only around 55 feet.  We´ve published several photos of this species, and we´ll publish many more I´m sure, but they´re so damn beautiful that who can resist to post yet another example of the beauty of Mother Nature.

Aquí está el nudibranquio de colores brillantes, Dondice banyulensis, 2 ejemplares moviéndose por nuestro sitio preferido de nudibranquios, en la Costa Brava.  Creemos que ponen sus huevos en los tallos de posedonia, o eso o les encanta "jugársela" de vez en cuando.  Los que normalmente vemos miden entre 3,5 cm-5 cm.  Si pones el zoom, sobre todo en la foto de frente, puedes apreciar su belleza deslumbrante.  No estábamos muy abajo, unos 15 metros.  Hemos publicado muchas fotos de esta especie, y seguro que publicaremos muchas más, porque son tan bellos que no somos capaces de publicar aún otro ejemplo de la belleza de la Madre Naturaleza.
