Nudibranquio Peltodoris atromaculata (Nudibranch: Peltodoris atromaculata)

Here is an easily recognizable nudibranch, the Peltodoris atromaculata, or Swiss Cow.  I´ve posted these two photos because the front and rear of this animal clearly show its rhinophores, in the top photo, and its branchia, in the lower photo.  This day, Juan and I found at least 8 within a 10-square-yard area.  The place was teeming with them!  This was in the Islas Medas, on the Costa Brava, in Spain.

Aquí hay un nudibranquio fácilmente reconocible, el Peltodoris atromaculata, o Vaquita Suiza.  He subido estas dos fotos porque la parte frontal y posterior de este animal muestran claramente sus rinóforos, en la foto de arriba, y sus branquias, en la foto de abajo.  Este día, Juan y yo encontramos al menos 8 dentro de un área de unos 10 metros cuadrados.  ¡Los había por todas partes!  La inmersión la hicimos en las Islas Medas, en la Costa Brava.
