Bispira volutacornis

This species of tube worm is very small and extremely sensitive to light and movement, disappearing inside its tube in tenths of a second if it feels threatened.  Its segments rarely exceed 3 cm fully extended.  It anchors itself to any type of surface, including one of pure sand.  On our last dive we found 2 together in a type of large fissure.  Both Juan and I took pictures in the hopes of getting it.  I'll be publishing that one soon.
